'Shii' Hand made Ken

Hand Made in the Kanade shop in Kutchan, Hokkaido, Japan.

Made of Shii wood, a Japanese wood closely related to Oak. It produces edible nuts, and is known for producing shiitake mushrooms! It also includes a small birch bird spot.
This particular piece of wood came from Okinoshima in Japan!
The shape is slightly skinnier than my usual shape due to the heavy wood species to try and keep the weight down in playable territory.
